AFN Election: My Target Is To Unite The Athletics Family - Gusau By Sampson Adedeji Ahead of the board election of the Athletics Federation Of Nigeria (AFN), incumbent president Shehu Gusau has stated that his next target is to unite the athletics family in the country, BSNSports.com.ng can reports. In the past 4 years the athletics body in Nigeria has been characterised by crisis which prompted two factional president and also gave the federation a setback. Gusau who is one of the factional president and also contesting for the next election has made it clear that olive branch will be extended to the aggrieved party if he is elected as the new president of the federation for another 4 years. "We have spent the last 4 years in leadership tussle. This is precious time we could have used to improve our athletes. "However, we will make it up to them and bring the entire Athletics family to a round table where we will iron out all grievances," he said. The new election into the board of the federation is slated for Monday 14th of June in Kebbi State.
