AFN To Host CAA Region II Championships By Uche Dozie The Athletics Federation of Nigeria is to host the CAA Region II Championships according to confirmation from the federations, BSNSports.com.ng reports. The competition which is also Olympics qualifier will happen at the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Kaduna State. The President of Region II who is also President of the AFN Hon. Ibrahim Shehu-Gusau confirmed the development after a visit to Ghana. Gusau spoke confidently of the tournament, promising that it will hold despite the challenges bedeviling the Athletics Federation Family. The tournament was postponed last year due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic all over the world. According to the press release, 10 out of 15 participating countries have submitted their final entries to the AFN.
