Africa Games 2023: Ghana Set To Lose Hosting Right
By Sampson Adedeji
The 13th edition of the All Africa Games in 2023 may no longer be held in Ghana, BSNSports.com.ng can report.
The construction of the new stadium in Accra which is to host the event has not been completed despite the promises of the Minister of Sports, Isaac Kwame Asiamah.
The competition is to be held in three cities namely Accra, Kumasi and Cape Coast.
The President of the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOCA), Mustapha Berraf, is currently in Ghana to find a solution with the government.
And ANOCA is not ruling out withdrawing the organization from Ghana because it feels it is not yet "ready to host the Games".
If Ghana is ruled out, the All Africa Games could be held in Egypt, Ghana got the nod to host the events ahead of Egypt in 2018.
