African Championship: Team Nigeria Trains In Algiers

Nigeria's contingent to the ongoing 2020 African Wrestling Championships in Algeria, on Friday morning, have their first training session and look ready for the hostilities ahead.

Odunayo Adekuoroye, if bags a gold medal in the championship will move from No 2 to No 1 World Ranking. Her fellow Nigerian, Blessing Oborududu will also move to World No 2 Ranking, if she wins a gold medal in the 68kg class in the championship.

The delegation of 20 athletes and officials left Lagos on Wednesday via Turkish Airline flight and were immediately conveyed to their base in Algiers after hours of drive from the airport.
