By Uche Dozie
Two goals from African duo of Mohammed Elneny and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang gave North London side Arsenal a crucial win over Newcastle United at the Saint James' Park on Sunday, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
A great strike from Egyptian International, Elneny in the 6th minutes gave Arsenal the lead and a good start to the game.
Elneny opened scoring with his first Premier League goal after Hector Bellerin's cross was miskicked by Aubameyang before it fell to the former FC Basel player to bury into the net.
After a pretty tight game in the first half, Arsenal pushed for a second goal in the second half.
Gabonese captain and striker Aubameyang came through scoring and sealing the win for the team in the 66th minutes of the encounter.
A Martinelli's terrific ball across the face of goal was finished from close range by the striker who scored his tenth goal of the season.
The win takes Arsenal to the ninth position on the English Premier League table with forty-nine points; a point better than Aston Villa who has played a game less.
