AfroBasket 2021: D'Tigers In Group C Alongside CIV, Two Others By Sampson Adedeji Ahead of the 2021 Afrobasketball competition, FIBA Africa on Friday conducted draw for the 16 qualified teams that will participate in the event, BSNSports.com.ng reports. Olympic bound Nigeria's D'Tiger were drawn in group C alongside Cote D'Ivoire Mali and Kenya. The Nigeria who emerged winner of the tournament in Rades, Tunisia in 2015 finished as runners up in 2017 which was co-hosted by Rades and Dakar. The group A consist of host Rwanda, Angola, DR Congo and 3 GRE, defending champion Tunisia led group B with Central African Republic, Guinea and Egypt. Group D has Senegal, Cameroon, 2GRE and South Sudan to complete the teams that will take part in the competition. The competitions is slated for city of Kigali, Rwanda from 24th of August to 5th of September 2021.
