  Afrobasketball Qualifier: D'Tigers Send Rwanda's Coach Packing By Sampson Adedeji Few days after the completion of the 2020 Afrobasketball qualifier in Kigali, the head coach of Rwanda, Vladimir Bornsjak has tendered his resignation letter, BSNSports.com.ng reports. Being the host of the qualifier, Rwanda fans believed the  home advantage factor supposed to work in their favour to have a good outing in the competition. Placed in the same pot with Nigeria, after losing the first match to Mali, all their hopes were pinched on beating Nigeria but they were greatly disappointed following their second consecutive defeat in the hands of the Nigeria senior national team. D'Tigers humiliated the hosts with a 20-point gap, losing 76-56 at the end of the match before losing the final game to South Sudan. The gaffer was under immense pressure that eventually led to his resignation on Thursday afternoon. The Rwanda Basketball federation is yet to announce who will take his position ahead of the second round of the qualifier in February 2021. Meanwhile, D'Tigers are rated second best team in the competition behind Tunisia who were rated best team based on points garnered after winning their three games in the just concluded qualifiers.
