Again! NFF Shuns Sunday Dare

The Nigeria Football Federation is not relocating to their new headquarter inside Package B of Moshood Abiola Stadium as directed by the minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

Dare had visited the Sunday Dankaro House (NFF newly built Headquarter) on Thursday 23rd, January 2020 for the first time to have a first hand assessment of the building. He expressed satisfaction over the development he saw in the building and told Nigerians that the headquarter will be occupied two weeks later (today).

In his words, "It is a working visit for me, my first time of inspecting Sunday Dankaro building and I feel it is important to see what is going on with the building. This is a befitting building, I am impressed with what I have seen so far, this building should be functional in two weeks and it is a befitting structure for Nigeria's football."

As at the time of filing this report, on Thursday, 6th, February, 2020 at 3:00 pm, when BSN Sports correspondent visited Sunday Dankaro, the environment remain silent as no NFF officials were seen around the building.

Recall that the minister of sports intervened and promised to bring back the former Super Falcons coach, Thomas Dennerby, when he abandoned the Nigeria Senior Women National Team and left Nigeria for his country without resignation.

"I have personally stepped into the matter of Thomas Dennerby, the Coach of Super Falcons. I received a brief this morning and will proceed to seek a quick resolution to ensure he continues to Coach Nigeria’s female team." Sunday Dare twitted.

Less than 24 hours after the minister contacted the former coach to mediate and bring him back to lead the Super Falcons in their quest for the 2020 Olympics ticket, the NFF announced Christopher Danjuma as the interim coach of the Falcons. In his first assignment as stand-in-coach of the Falcons, Danjuma failed to progress and pick the Olympics ticket. Cote d'Ivoire senior women national team bundled out the nine-time African champions on away goal rule. Few weeks later, India - the hosts of the FIFA U17 Women's World Cup - unveiled Thomas Dennerby as their U17 Women national team head coach.
