Agbonlahor Retires At 32
By Sampson Adedeji
Nigeria born and former England international Gabby Agbonlahor has formally announced his retirement from active football.
The 32 years old forward has been without a club since last summer that he terminated his contract with Aston Villa.
According to him, “I haven’t made a big deal about it by posting anything on social media. But no, that is me done," he stated.
Agbonlahor made 341 league appearances for Villa after bursting onto the scene as a 19-year-old, scoring 75top-flight goals.
He was marked out as one of English football’s brightest young talents with the pace that terrified opposition defenses.
The then England coach, Fabio Capello called him up for international duty in 2008, but he only made three senior appearances for the national team.
