Ahmed Musa To Join Super Eagles In Cameroon After Suffering Bereavement

Ahmed Musa, the Fatih Karagumruk of Turkey striker was given permission to leave the team’s camp to be with family members following the report that he lost someone in his family very close to him.
Musa left Super Eagles camp on Wednesday afternoon after the sad news broke that he lost a close family. The name of the person the Super Eagles lost was not revealed as at the time of filing this report.
The 28-year-old, who is a member of the 2013 Super Eagles squad that won the AFCON for the third time in South Africa under late Stephen Keshi, will now link up with teammates in Cameroon ahead of Nigeria’s first game of the competition against Egypt on January 11.
However, the 2013 African champions departed Nigeria for Cameroon on Wednesday night and arrived in Garoua, Cameroon at 11:35pm (Nigeria time) with 24 players.
The team settled down immediately in their hotel and would start their preparations ahead of their AFCON opener on Thursday.
