Aigbogun Names Success Makanjuola, Chinonso, 16 Others For All African Games

Success Makanjuola, Chinonso Emeka, Peter Eletu, Collins Sor and Rabiu Mohammed are among the 18 players selected by Flying Eagles coach Paul Aigbogun to represent Nigeria at the 12th African Games holding in Rabat, Morocco.
They earlier featured at the FIFA U20 World Cup in Poland.
The U-20 team have been training in Abuja for the past two weeks as they prepare for Africa’s showpiece multi-sports event.
The team of 18 players and their officials travel to Lagos on Tuesday (today) and then fly to Morocco on Wednesday morning, a statement by the NFF said.
“Aigbogun has kept faith with the bulk of the players who were part of the training camp in Germany before the FIFA U20 World Cup held in Poland May/June this year.
“The Flying Eagles will start their campaign in the football event on Friday, 16th August against Burkina Faso in Rabat,” the statement added.
Captain of the team, Ibrahim Abubakar, assured Nigerians that the players would do their best to put Nigeria on the podium at the continental Games.
Others on the list are goalkeepers are Detan Ogundare (Kogi United) and Matthew Yakubu (Clique Sports).
The defenders are Rabiu Mohammed (Plateau United), Mike Zaruma (Plateau United), Habibu Yakubu (Rarara FC), Victor Arikpo Eteng (Sidos FC), Sanusi Abdulmutallif (Katsina United)
The midfielders are Adewale Oladoye (Water FC), Liameed Quadri (36 Lion), Samuel Nnoshiri (Heartland) and Abubakar Ibrahim (Plateau United).
