Traore Aissata’s through ball to Diarra Agueissa in the 22nd minute was well saved by Errmichi Khadija who rushed out early to prevent Agueissa from causing any havoc. Morocco’s goalscorer against Cameroon, Tagnaout Fatima missed a gilt-edge chance in the 57th minute as she failed to tap the ball into the back of the net from Salmi Rania’s cross. A good piece of teamwork from Morocco saw Tagnaout Fatima set up Badri Najat whose shot posed no threat to Errmichi Khadija in the 69th minute. Two minutes later Tagnaout Fatima’s one-on-one chance against Karentao Fatoumata hit the goalkeeper’s body. The Malians piled up the pressure in a bid to score in the last 15 minutes of the game. In the 82nd minute, Traore Aissata’s long-range shot was saved by Errmichi Khadija for Mali’s corner kick. The resulting corner kick was wasted by the Eagles. Morocco finished the tournament with a win and a draw after two games while Mali picked only a point from its two games.
