Abia Warriors Suspend Ndifreke

The management of Abia Warriors Football Club of Umuahia has announced the immediate suspension of its striker, Ndifreke Effiong for gross misconduct, indiscipline and disrespect to constituted authority, www.bsnsports.com.ng authouritatively reveals.
In a letter addressed to the player and signed by the club Secretary, Mr Oliver Ndife, said management took the decision after an emergency meeting during which the offences against him were established and directed him to leave the team's hotel in Lagos immediately as well as exit the club's camp in Umuahia.
Recall that Abia Warriors was humiliated 5-1 in the hand of their NPFL counterparts in their first Aiteo group match in Lagos.
Top official close to Abia Warriors revealed to BSN Sports that Ndifreke suspension is not unconnected to the disgraceful result in the hand of the Harmony boys.
However, Abia warriors defeated Kano Pillars 2-1 in the second group game on Wednesday at the Agege Township stadium.
