The 2021 FCT FA Cup champions, NAF FC have set their eyes on going far in this year's Aiteo Cup as they are well motivated; physically and mentally to emerge victorious when they lock horns with Bayelsa United in the first round of the National Aiteo Cup competition in Ilorin. NAF FC defeated EFCC FC on penalties in the state final of the competition to emerge champions and were drawn to face Bayelsa State champions in the knockout rounds of the oldest tournament in Nigeria. The FCT Champions left for the venue of the match on Friday morning and will have a test of the pitch on Saturday ahead of the Sunday encounter with the Bayelsa warlords. "It will gladden every member of Nigeria Air Force if the team eventually emerge champions of the 2021 Aiteo Cup, a feat we hope to achieve as we have put in place all necessary things to make the dream come true. He continued, "This does not anyway means we are underestimating Bayelsa United as they face them on Sunday in the first round of the tournament but we aim to spring up surprises against the bookmakers who may not give us the chance to do the unthinkable." NAF FC have won the FCT FA Cup a total of four times and are well motivated to make a strong statement this time by going ahead to play in the final of the 2021 Aiteo Cup.
