Former Flying Eagles captain Abduljaleel Ajagun scored on his Cape Town City debut, however his effort was not good enough to get his South African club to the next round of the NedBank Cup. Ajagun hit target in the 66th minute to draw level with Chippa United in the NedBank Round of 16 Sunday. But the former KV Kortrijk of Belgium midfielder was denied a winning start in South Africa when Chippa United scored a late winner to reach the quarterfinal of the cup competition. Ajagun joined Cape Town City as a free agent after he was released from his contract by Kortrijk.
