By Sampson Adedeji
Nigeria's Super Eagles and West Brom centre-back Semi Ajayi has revealed that Peter Odemwingie is his favourite Baggies player from the past.
The 26-year-old has been answering several fan questions via his personal Instagram page and when asked about his favourite former West Brom player, he picked fellow Nigerian Peter Odemwingie, BSN Reports.
Odemwingie, who is now retired, enjoyed a fruitful three years at the Hawthorns from 2010 until 2013, going on to score 30 goals in 87 matches for the Midlands club.
The striker was also a key part of the Nigerian national team, making over 60 appearances for his country whilst also featuring in the nation’s Olympics team.
Meanwhile, Ajayi is a Nigerian international himself having made 11 appearances for his country.
The former Rotherham United defender has become an instrumental figure in the Baggies team this season, making 41 appearances and scoring an impressive five goals as he aims to guide West Brom to the Premier League.
Bilic’s side currently occupy second spot in the Championship table, one point behind Leeds United with nine games of the season left to play.
