Nigeria's Super Eagles striker Junior Ajayi continue to knock the door of the national team with his amazing performance for Egyptian champions Al Ahly.

BAN Sports reports that the former 3SC of Ibadan attacker was on target last week for Al-Ahly in the second leg of the CAF champions League match and helped the club progress to the group stage.

Aswan FC play host to Al-Ahly on Saturday afternoon and suffered heavy defeat 1-5 in a relatively a easy match for the away side.

It was Ajayi who posed most threat to the backline of the host and was able to score the second goal for Ahly before he was substituted in the 75th minute of the encounter.

Al-Ahly will know their group opponents in the CAF champions League match on Monday when the draw is conducted.
