Akinwunmi lead others to support Ekiti football Akeem Busari The Chairman of Lagos FA and 1st vice chairman of the NFF, Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi has joined the growing list of stakeholders, donors and enthusiasts who have signed up to help actualise the 'One boy,One ball' project initiated by Phoenix Athletics Sports Club and Friends of Ekiti football. According to the general coordinator of the project, Bayo Olanlege, Akinwunmi who is also the leader of South West football forum, has made a donation of 20 balls to support the historic project. " It noteworthy that Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi on learning about the project, responded swiftly by donating 20 balls. Once again, he has proven his unalloyed love and support for the development of grassroots football," Olanlege disclosed. Following the lead was Tolulope Ojo, another of the products of PASC. The young footballer who is presently on a year loan deal with NPFL current leaders, Lobi Stars also donated 10 balls to swell the numbers. " We are glad that people are responding positively to this selfless project. And we want to implore other stakeholders and enthusiasts to rally in support for this project, which is aimed at equipping youth teams in Ekiti state and therefore, giving a lifeline to hundreds of young talents," he quipped. He went on to reveal some of the youth teams expected to receive balls to include; Dove Academy ( Aramoko); Divine Academy ( Ilawe); Phoenix Youth teams; ( Ado-Ekiti, Ikere- Ekiti, Ido, Irepodun); Gbonyin Spartans fc( Egbe); Erinfolami Academy ( Ijero Ekiti); Endurance Academy; (Ikole Ekiti), as well as youth teams from Efon, Omuo and Otun areas of the state. Meanwhile, the epochal event will hold Friday 8th June, at the Oluyemi Kayode stadium, Ado-Ekiti.
