Akpoborire Urge Rohr To Work With Home Based Players By Sampson Adedeji Former Nigeria's Super Eagles attacker Jonathan Akpoborire has implored the present Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr to work more with the local players, BSNSports.com.ng reports. Three home based players were invited for the last 2021 African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Squirrel of Benin Republic and Lesotho with only Anayo Iwuala of Enyimba making his debut. During his interview with ElegbeteTV, Akporire said Nigeria have players especially defenders in the local scene that can actually improve the backline of the Super Eagles. "We have players on the NPFL especially defenders that can help Super Eagles. We need to teach them, get them in camp on time before the foreign based players arrive. The coach should be training and teaching them, that is why I'm against coach sitting back at home, he should work," he said.
