Akpom's Debut Goal Will Give Him Edge - Boro Coach

It has been an amazing start for Chuba Akpom a week after completing a an all-mportant move to Middlesbrough. He was handed a debut start and he played 90 minuites for Middlesbrough against Queens park Rangers(QPR). In the 19 minuites, he justifies his inclusion and rewards the coach and the club for the trust and confidence with a goal to mark off what looks like a dream start. The goal will be some form of relief for the striker as he tries to help Middlesbrough back to the English Premier League.
After the game, Boro's coach, Kevin Blackwell believes Akpom's goal will be key for his confident. Blackwell stated : "What's the perfect start for a striker? It's getting a goal on your debut and he's done exactly that."

"It's important as a striker you're seen to do your job and that is scoring goals."

"That has taken a lot of weight off his shoulders, psychologically whether he thinks about it or not."

Boro's ambition this season will be to make it back to the top flight league (The English Premier League)
