Players and officials of Akwa United enjoyed another safe and smooth flight on board Dana Airlines from Port Harcourt to Abuja on Friday afternoon en route Maiduguri for NPFL Matchday 13 fixture billed for Sunday. The Two-Time Federation Cup Champions made a short road trip from Uyo to Port Harcourt and flew to the nation's capital Abuja before connecting Maiduguri for the crucial game. Chairman of Akwa United Elder Paul Bassey in a reaction, expressed appreciation to Dana Air for a smooth flight, courteous staff and amazing in-flight services the team enjoyed on board Dana Air. "We can't stop appreciating Dana Airlines for this amazing partnership with our club, today was just another wonderful experience on board Dana Air. The flight was smooth and stress-free, the staff on board offered Five-Star services that helped all of us to relax and enjoy the flight. "The entire team arrived Abuja fresh and strong, and I'm optimistic that we will be full of energy when we engage El-kanemi Warriors on Sunday. We are really enjoying our games especially away matches because this wonderful partnership has saved us from the trauma of tedious road travels, and that is the reason we are grateful for this partnership agreement" the club boss said. In a related development, Akwa United midfielder Cyril Olisema surprised staff of Dana Air Mr. Samuel Owolabi and presented him with his replica jersey during the flight from Port Harcourt to Abuja. Olisema who scored the Promise Keepers' only goal on Sunday in a 1-0 win over Heartland FC in Uyo, said he was impressed with the friendly and warm in-flight services provided by the crew members especially Mr. Owolabi. Akwa United are top of the NPFL Group B table with 22 points from 12 games and will take on El-kanemi Warriors on matchday 13 in Maiduguri on Sunday. Dana Air extended the flight partnership agreement with Akwa United late last year for another year.
