Alex Iwobi Reveals Motivation From Family, Country, Club Supporters

Everton of England midfielder-tuned-right-wing-back, Alex Iwobi has revealed that he gets a lot of motivation to keep churning out his best from knowing that he has to impress his family members, Nigerian football fans and supporters of his English Premier League club, BSNSports.com.ng reports. Speaking against the backdrop of his stunning display of uncanny ability as a wing-back for The Toffees, Iwobi said he is determined to prove his mettle in order to make his family proud of him, while also acknowledging that he is carry Nigeria’s banner and needs to keep Everton’s fans happy with him. Those factors are always top of his mind, and the former Arsenal of England playmaker, who has now started six games in a row, while helping Everton record four wins and a draw, stressed that he is trying to prove that he is good enough to be constantly in The Toffees’ starting line-up and that he also deserves representing the Super Eagles regularly. Iwobi, who was a member of Arsenal’s squad that reached finals in the English FA Cup, League Cup and UEFA Europa League, believes the current Everton team can repeat The Gunners’ feats and added: “Every day I try to prove to myself I should be here, that I should be playing for Everton. “That I should be in the starting XI. That I should be representing my country. I always have that motivation. Especially because of what my family went through for me to get where I am. It gives me that hunger to improve myself and I work every day to try to do that. “I want to fight for not just me but the hundreds of thousands of Evertonians and the people who follow and support me. I feel I owe it to them to give 100 per cent every day. This Everton side is as good as the Arsenal teams I was in, absolutely.”
