Algeria To Host CHAN 2022

The Algerian Football Federation (FAF) has been given the rights to host the 2022 African Nations Championship (CHAN), BSNSports.com.ng can report.

CAF has given the African champions the rights to host the championship in 2022.

The 2022 tournament will be the seventh edition of the competition which is reserved for locally-based players.

The 2020 edition which supposed to be hosted by Ethiopia could not hold due to Coronavirus pandemic.

CHAN 2018 was hosted by Morocco after CAF withdrew a bid awarded to Kenya due to a lack of adequate preparation.

The host nation went on to win the tournament.

Four venues, which include Algiers, Oran, Annaba and Constantine are the cities selected o host the tournament's matches.
