  Algeria To Host CHAN 2023 By Sampson Adedeji Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced Algeria as the next host of the Championship of African Nations (CHAN 2023), BSNSports.com.ng reports. Cameroon hosted the just concluded edition as Atlas Lions of Morocco emerged champions for the second consecutive time. At the end of the final, match, the president of the African Football Confederation (CAF), Ahmad Ahmad, symbolically handed over the flag of the instance to the Algerian Ambassador to Cameroon, Merzak Bedjaoui. Initially scheduled for early 2022, the next edition of CHAN has been postponed to January 2023 in order to avoid it overlapping with CAN 2021, itself postponed to early 2022. The cities of Annaba, Constantine, Algiers (Stade du July 5), Oran and Blida (Stade Mustapha Tchaker) will host the competition. Nigeria's Super Eagles B Team who missed the just concluded edition will be hoping to stage a return to next edition.
