AFRICAN GAMES: NIGERIAN SHOOTING SPORT FEDERATION RELEASES LIST OF SHOOTERS, COACH

Following the successful conclusion of the National Open Trials held in June to pick the best athletes for the 12th Africa Games scheduled to hold in two Moroccan Cities of Rabat and Casablanca, from 19th to 31st August, 2019, the Nigerian Shooting Sport Federation, NSSF, has released a list of eight shooters selected for the Games.

The list is made up of four male shooters in two categories and they include Abdul Madu Ibrahim(Air Pistol); Adoyi Elaochi (Air Pistol); Animasaun Akeem(Air Rifle) and Okposo Eguso(Air Rifle).

In the female category, Otiti Kate (Air Rifle), Emmanuel Fatimah (Air Rifle), Mary Ademokoya (Air Pistol) and Ada Ikevude (Air Pistol) were selected.

Martins Ali Tonglat is Coach of the team.

So far, six out of the eight athletes and the Coach have reported to Camp where they had a stretched training on Monday, 8th July, from 9am to 4pm.

This, according to the Secretary General of the NSSF, Monica Otumala, will continue for a period of time to get the rhythm in place.

Fifty-four countries are expected to participate in the Games, including Nigeria.
