Amanda Football Club of Orlu have proved to doubters that they are the best club side in Imo State by winning her second state wide competition in six months.

The team which defeated Heartland Football Club of Owerri to lift the State Football Association Cup, this time defeated Packet Football Club in the finals of the Imo State Bet9ja Football League final.

The proprietor of the club, Mr. Obinna Nwanire told Wakawaka Sports Extra that his club have nothing again to prove to soccer loving fans in the state anymore, adding that a team from a remote village in Orlu is the best team in the state.

Mr. Nwanire recounted how it all started: 'After the last Christmas Football season, the boys called on me to assist them to relish their God given talent by forming the club without funding from anywhere.

"Initially, I was scared of how to carry such a big project but thought otherwise and gave it a trial with the burden of carrying over 30 players everyday just as the boys have turned from champions to state champions," he said.

Mr. Nwanire, however, called on corporate organizations, Orluzurume Social Cultural Organization and well meaning individuals in the state and especially, the sports loving governor of the state, His Excellency, Governor Emeka Ihedioha to come to their assistance now that the club is preparing to lunch into a full professional outfit next soccer season.
