Amb. Chris Giwa Tasks Falconetsto Make Nigerians Happy

NFF PRESIDENT, AMB CHRIS GIWA TASKS FALCONETS TO MAKE NIGERIANS HAPPY By VICTOR IROELE President of Nigeria Football Federation, Ambassador Chris Giwa has called on the National Under-20 women team, Falconets to make Nigerians happy as they take on Spain on Thursday at Concarneau, France by 3pm Nigerian time.  Amb. Giwa charged the girls to look away from the distractions at home and go all out for glory as Nigerians continue to pray for them to do well.  " We have confidence in the team to deliver because we have done it before and can still do it again," he stated.  The NFF President argued:" These girls deserve more than commendation considering what the girls are going through, but we are happy with how far they have gone, and believe they can do better" " Once again, we assure you that all your outstanding entitlements will be settled, as all necessary arrangements had been made to offset them," Amb. Giwa promised.  Meanwhile, the Acting General Secretary of the Federation, Dr Emmanuel Ikpeme has also charged the Falconets to make a name for themselves in France and open a new Vista in their career.  " We defeated Spain in 2016 in Papua New Guinea 2-1 and we can also do it again, and hope the girls will not underrate the Spaniards," Ikpeme stated.  Ikpeme further noted:" Though the girls may not have looked enterprising in the group games like we expect, but they can still turn things around and make the country proud".  The Falconets lost their opening group game to Germany 0-1,defeated Haiti 1-0,and drew 1-1 to finish with four points, the lowest point haul in the quarter final.  Spain on the other hand defeated Paraguay 4-1 and Japan 1-0 before drawing 2-2 with USA.
