Amokachi Charges Olympic Eagles Ahead U23 AFCON

Former Super Eagles attacker, Daniel Amokachi on Wednesday visited the camp of the Nigeria's U23 team and inspired the players ahead of their African Nations cup qualifier for the Men's Football Tournament at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The minister of youth and sports development, Mr Sunday Dare had urged the former Everton striker to visit the Nigeria national team at their camp in Serob Hotels, Abuja when the latter visited the former in his office at the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Federal Secretariat, Abuja.

The 1996 Olympics gold medalist visited the Olympic Eagles and urged them to go for the Olympics ticket and also defend successfully the title the country won four years ago.

Nigeria is drawn in the same group B with Cote d'Ivore, South Africa and Zambia.

The tournament which commences in Egypt on 8th November will see only three out of the eight participating countries pick the three slots to represent Africa at the Olympics in Tokyo.
