Amuneke applies for Chipolopolo head coach

By Sampson Adedeji

Former Nigeria Flying Eagles coach Emmanuel Amuneke has applied for the position of head coach of Zambia senior national team.

The 2012 Africa champions have been without a coach since the sacking of their former gaffer following the strings of poor results.

Amuneke left his position as the coach of the Taifa Stars of Tanzania after their not-too-impressive outing at the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt.

He led the team back to the echelon of African Football after qualifying for AFCON after 39 years of wait.

Amuneke is among the pool of coaches that applied for the vacant position in Zambia.

Apart from handling Taifa Stars, Amunuke has a short stint in Khatourn Sudan.
