Amuneke Denies of Rumors of Eagles Job

Former Nigeria's Super Eagles winger Emmanuel Amuneke has denied been contacted by anybody over the position of head coach of Nigeria's Super Eagles.

There are been rumours going on the media that Amuneke and another former winger of Nigeria George Finidi as the possible replacement for the present coach of Super Eagles Gernot Rohr, BSN Reports.

Former head coach of Nigeria Golden Eaglets and Flying Eagles also hailed the Franco-german coach for performance with the team so far.

Amuneke expressed his mind while speaking on a Radio program in Akwa Ibom on Monday afternoon.

"Well,nobody has contacted me. He (Rohr) is still under contract,we have to respect that.

From my own point of view,I don't think he has done bad so far. He took us to the World cup,then to AFCON and we came third. For me to start talking about a coach with a contract,I don't think it is fair", he stated.

Amuneke is working as the Head of El Makkassa fc of Egypt Football Academy in Africa.
