Another NPFL Star Player Brother's Death Shocks The World

Nasarawa United captain, Emmanuel Makama has lost his brother, Monday Makama who died after he was knocked down by a reckless driver while closing a junction in Lafia, Nasarawa state on Thursday last week, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

The late player will be buried today (Tuesday) according to the club's statement made available to BSN Sports.

The club's media officer, Eche Amos posted the condolence message on his official Facebook page on Monday.

The management of Nasarawa United on Monday sent a condolence message to the family of the decease. The statement reads:

"The entire management, staff and players of Nasarawa United Football Club has received with rude shock the death of Monday Makama, elder brother to our captain, Emmanuel Makama

"The late Monday Makama died of injuries sustained after he was knocked down by a reckless driver while he was crossing the Popsy Filling Station Junction, Bukan Sidi, Jos Road, Lafia, on Thursday last week.

According to the Club's Chairman, Barr. Isaac Danladi, he condoled with captain Emmanuel Makama, encouraging him to see the demise of his brother as an act of God.

"It's a painful thing to lose a brother and loved one at a young age. But we wish to condole and encourage Emmanuel Makama and his family to see this as an act of God as He alone knows why He called Monday home."

Barrister Danladi said Nasarawa United share in his grief as he prayed for the peaceful repose of the soul of the late Monday.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with Emmanuel Makama and his family during this trying moment. We pray God to grant him and his family the fortitude to bear the loss. We also pray that the soul of his late brother will rest in peace. Amen!"

According to Emmanuel Makama the deceased person, until his death, was working with the Nasarawa Agricultural Development Programme(NADP), Nasarawa State Ministry of Agriculture, Lafia.

He will be buried on Tuesday (today), 31st March, 2020, at Gidan-Hausawa, after Agyaragu, Obi Local Government Area, Nasarawa State.
