Lionel seems not to be stopping in his urge of breaking records in the Champions League. The Argentine captain bagged a goal in their 5-1 win against Hungarian side Ferencvaros; the Hungarians being the 36th opponent he has scored against in European competition, the most of any player ever. The Barcelona captain further equalled a record held by former Manchester United winger Ryan Giggs. By featuring in the game hosted at Camp Nou, Messi has now been involved in 16 different Champions League campaigns-a record, set by the Wales manager.
