By Sampson Adedeji
It was a sweet beginning for newly appointed Nigeria's Super Falcons coach, Randy Waldrum, leading the team to victory against Russia champion CSKA Moscow in the ongoing invitational tournament in Turkey, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
After non participation in any competitive game since 2019 due to outbreak of Coronavirus and other circumstances, Nigeria Football Federation agreed to take the team to Turkey for the tournament.
Over 20 Players was invited for the tourney under Waldrum and they began their campaign on winning note.
It was Chiwendu Ihezuo that netted the only goal of the game in the 18th minute after a low cross from unattached Francisca Ordega.
The second half resumed with the Russia champions trying to level the game but Nigeria backline led by Onome Ebi nullified all their threats.
