Anthony Joshua ‘Returns To School’ In Preparation For Fight With Tyson Fury

Nigerian-born world heavyweight boxing champion, Anthony Oluwafemi Olaseni Joshua has made a sensational ‘return to school,’ as h went back to his alma mater for some youth mentoring and tutoring, BSNSports.com.ng reports. Joshua put aside his busy training routine and preparations for a double-deal blockbuster title unification bout later on this year, as he returned to his old secondary school recently to film a short work-out routine for the pupils, staff and parents of Kings Langley School in Hertfordshire. Joshua, who also pledged to return to the school post-pandemic to find out how his work-out helped, told the pupils: “I know how tough it is for you guys right now, doing all your lessons live, I know it’s not easy but it’s important to keep the mind and body active. So, before you pick up you Xbox or PlayStation controller, or get on social media, let’s get down to work…” The school’s headmaster David Fisher said: “We are delighted to have Anthony Joshua working with us at Kings Langley School to support the students to stay healthy and motivated whist also engaging and progressing with a fully live knowledge rich curriculum on our virtual platform. “As a school we are delighted that the video will both promote our own PE department’s live HIIT sessions but will also enable students to use everyday items in their house to stay fit and well during this lockdown, such as the Kings Langley School bag! “It was great to see AJ filling the Kings Langley School bag with his boxing gloves and tins from home to teach the students what they can do to stay fit and healthy. Our thanks go out to him and his team for giving up their time to help inspire our students.” This came at a point Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn declared that the London 2021 Olympic Games’ gold medalist’s biggest rival and fellow-Briton, Tyson Fury and his team’s confidence is low about their prospects of winning the upcoming unification fight against his ward. Joshua, the International Boxing Federation (IBF), World Boxing Association (WBA) and World Boxing Organization (WBO), is likely to tango the World Boxing Council (WBC) holder in a much-anticipated unification fight, which reports indicate is just weeks away from confirmation in a dream fight for the top division’s undisputed ownership. Fury’s US-based promoter Bob Arum claimed he was 95 per cent confident that the fight would happen in 2021 and 100 per cent certain that the WBC champion would win, but Hearn come out with a mocking deliration that the opposing camp is already shivering with fear. Hearn concluded: “I don’t think anyone can be 100 per cent confident about anyone winning a fight like this. They could fight 10 times and wouldn’t get 10 same results. “I believe Joshua is the favourite in this fight. I know that, with the bookies, Fury is. I see the improvements that Anthony makes and the desire that he has got. I’ve written Fury off before – against Wladimir Klitschko and Deontay Wilder. “He proved me wrong; but I don’t believe he will prove me wrong this time. I believe our guy wins. But talk is cheap. We’ve got to roll the dice and find out.”
