President, Archery Federation, Alh. Muhammad Abdullahi has said that despite the fact the game of archery is not popular among Nigerians, it is capable of winning medals for the country in the coming years.

The president while speaking with www.bsnsports.com.ng at the ongoing eight-day Archery Game Clinic Coaching and Officiating Workshop at the Package B, National Stadium, Abuja expressed happiness at the number of participants which is the first in the country.
In his words: "Though, the game (archery) is not popular in Nigeria, however, I am surprised at the number of archers that are coming up in Nigeria. I am shocked at their level of development and to take advantage of this, the federation comes up with this workshop which we would have shifted due to some factors." Abdullah told www.bsnsports.com.ng
He opined that if given necessary support the game will win more laurels than some popular sports in the country.
