Argentina legend Maradona set to undergo surgery for blood clot on brain

Football icon Diego Maradona is set to undergo surgery to remove a blood clot on his brain, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Maradona ws admitted to hospital on Monday in Argentina with a subdural hematoma, his personal doctor Leopoldo Luque revealed to reporters. Hematoma is a serious medical condition where blood collects between the skull and the surface of the brain which is mostly caused by a head injury.
As reported by Ali Humayun, Maradona is set to undergo surgery in a bid to remove the blood clot on his brain.
"He [Maradona] is not well psychologically and that has an impact on his physical wellbeing," his personal doctor said.
"He’s not as well as I would like and as well as I know he can be. He needs help, this is the time to help him.” Maradona is being treated for a subdural hematoma.
On January 2019, Maradona was admitted to hospital with internal bleeding in the stomach.
