Arsenal 0-3 Liverpool: Diogo Jota and Mo Salah fire Reds back into top four race

Arsenal
With a win over a mediocre Arsenal at the Emirates, Liverpool catapulted themselves back into the Champions League chase thanks to Diogo Jota's double off the bench. The Reds took advantage of Chelsea and Leicester dropping points earlier in the day to close the gap on the top four, with Jota scoring either side of Mo Salah's calm finish to secure a 3-0 victory. For most of the game, Liverpool hemmed the Gunners into their own half, but it took them until after the hour mark to break the deadlock. Just three minutes after replacing left-back Andy Robertson, Trent Alexander-Arnold whipped in a deep cross for Jota to power a header past Arsenal keeper Bernd Leno. Mohamed Salah got in behind Gabriel four minutes later and rolled the ball between Leno's legs. Jota ensured victory by sweeping in his 14th club goal of the season, after scoring three times in two games during the international break. Liverpool now have 49 points from 30 games, two points behind Chelsea in the chase for the final Champions League spot. Arsenal are still in ninth place, with 42 points.
