  Aruna Quadri Suffers Defeat At World Table Tennis Championship By Sampson Adedeji Nigeria table tennis sensation Aruna Quadri at the ongoing World Table Tennis contender series came to a halt on Friday afternoon after he was defeated by a Chinese Taipei player, BSNSports.com.ng reports. Quadri the only surviving African in the competition was the star of the show on Wednesday and Thursday as he recorded back to back victory. Taipei's Yun Jun Lin defeated Quadri 3-1 (8-11, 9-11, 15-17, 9-11) to halt his progress in the tournament. Despite crashing out at the quarter final, Quadri created record as the only African to play up to the quarter final of the WTT. The second series of the tournament is slated to take off this weekend ( March 7th - 13th) with Nigeria Omotayo Olajide hoping to join Quadri in the main draw.
