Rivers State born and Asian based Nigerian forward, Solomon Williams Okuruket presently plying his football trade in the Iraq league has set his ambitions of playing in the European Football League some days.
The forward who notched in 7 goals last season while starring for Aljawiya before the COVID pandemic struck said his potentials is good enough to see him play with a European club some days and although he is in his late 20s, he is confident his age won't deter him from fulfilling his dreams.
"If Odion Ighalo at 30 fulfilled his dream for playing for his childhood and dream club, then I don't see why I can't also achieve my dreams. There are several players who left Europe for Asia and the MLS and still returned to Europe in their 30s and still performed creditably well for the clubs they starred for, so I believe it is not impossible for me and having played for one of the biggest club from Africa, Arab Contractors I believe once I get my chance to play in Europe, it won't be difficult for me to adjust and settle very well''
The former Arab Contractors player who has had previous stints with a number of Club in West Africa including Gateway FC of Nigeria and ASEC MIMOSAS from where he joined former Northern Champions and three times Egyptian Cup Champions, Almokawloon Al Arabi Sporting Club also known as Arab Contractors when asked to rate the different leagues he has played in rated Arab Contractors very highly and in his words "Arab Contractors has one of the best sports facilities and structure in the world and not just in Africa.
The player has signed a 6 months contract with Al Karkh SC after which he will decide his next move.
