...No automatic shirt for players, any player can displace anyone in camp.. Manu Garba By Niyi Busari Nigeria's national U-17 coach, Manu Garba is optimistic that with the calibre of young talented players at the ongoing screening in Abuja as well as other discovered talents from the Zenith/NFF U-15 competition in Kano last year will produce the quality that can go out and make Nigeria proud. Manu Garba who won gold as a coach in 2013 FIFA U-17 world cup stated that they need more than sixty quality players after the screening. The sixty players will undergo Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) test after which those that pass the MRI test will be in the camp. Speaking with www.bsn.com.ng the experienced coach said: "I believe by the time we are through with our proper training we will players that will make the country proud. "The first phase of the screening will last for two weeks before we can be able to know the number of players discovered from the exercise. However, we need not less than sixty players to undergo MRI test after which those that pass the test will now be in the camp" Garba, encouraged quality players within the country that are still within the age bracket to come to the open camp and assures that if they are better than the rest, they will be selected. "Any good player can come to camp and fight for position, as long as they are within the age bracket and have the quality we are looking for, if they can prove that they are better than the rest they will be selected. There is no automatic shirt for any player here. We need to go tournament with Nigerian best U-17 set of players."
