Athletics: Brume, Adegoke, Amusan Going For Gold In Tokyo 2020 Finals By Our Reporter The coast seems to be clearer for the Team Nigeria as three Team Nigeria athletes are at the verge of clicking medals at the ongoing Tokyo 2020. It could be recalled that team Nigeria began on a wrong foot with different set backs but the coast is now clearer as Enoch Adegoke - 100m, Ese Brume - Long Jump and Tobi Amusan - Hurdles are at the verge of winning medals for Nigeria. Enock Adegoke is first Nigeria to reach 100 m final at the Olympics in 25 years while Tobi Amusan won her race and qualified for the final of the 110m hurdles event with a time of 12.61s at the ongoing Tokyo 2020 Olympics. 2014 Commonwealth Games gold medalist, Ese Brume is through to the Long Jump final after leaping to a 6.76m distance, 1cm ahead of the automatic qualifying mark. Final holds on Tuesday, August 3rd.
