Athletics World Championship: Nigeria relay teams departs for Cameroon Thursday

In order to take part in the qualifier of the 2019 World Championship , Nigeria's relay team of both men and women will travel to Douala Cameroon on Thursday, BSN Sports reports..

The Athletics Federation of Nigeria confirmed on Wednesday evening and also released the lists of athletes that will represent the country in the qualifier.

In the men 4×100, Enoch Adegoke will lead the trio of Alaba Akintola, Arowolo Emmanuel and Igube Thankgod.

Orukpe Erayokan will lead Sikiru Adeyemi, Akpeyi Shedrach and Emmanuel Ojeli in the 4×400 relay.

In the women category, patience Okon will head the 4×400 relay team alongside Favour Ofili, Blessing Onome and Ebike Egeneyi.

The winner of this race will get to represent Africa in the world championship in Doha, Qatar later in the year.
