Awaziem May Join Sevilla

Despite having it a bit rough at the initial stage, Nigeria's Super Eagles defender Chidozie Awaziem is gradually living up to expectations on his club career.

The former El-Kanemi Warriors defender moved to Europe and joined FC Porto B side in 2015 where he made 62 appearances for the club and netted twice, BSN Reports.

The Primera Liga champion loaned him to Spanish La Liga side CD Leganes last season on his return from Turkish Super Lig side Caykur Rizespor where he made 19 appearances.

The reports has it that Spanish Laliga side, Sevilla have agreed a deal in principle for Nigerian international, Chidozie Awaziem.

Awaziem, whose parent club is FC Porto is at the moment on season long loan in Spain. The player has also impressed before the suspension of games due to the outbreak of coronavirus.

Leganes is keen on retaining him but the opportunity to play for a top team as Sevilla is an option the 22-year old is willing to explore.
Though, a fee is yet to be agreed with FC Porto but the representatives of the player have held talks with Sevilla and are confident that Porto won’t stand in the way of Awaziem.

It was also believed that a transfer fee of 8million euros (N3.2 billion)

Awaziem made his debut for Nigeria's Super Eagles on June 1 in an exhibition game against Togo in Paris and has made 16 appearances for Nigeria scoring once.
