Following his amazing performance in the La Liga and cup games this season, Nigeria's Super Eagles defender Chidozie Awaziem has been nominated for CD Leganes Player Of The Season, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Awaziem joined Leganes on loan from Portuguese side FC Porto and has been one of the club best performer this season.

He has played in various positions for the club like centre back, right full back and defensive midfield position.

Awaziem was nominated alongside 4 other players, Oscar, Recio, Rodriguez and one other player.

According to the club social media handle, fans has been asked to start voting for any of the player they believed deserved the award.

Awaziem who has also played in French Lique One for Nantes is expected to return to his parent club Porto at the end of the season.
