AWCON 2018: N9 million Debt Threatens Super Falcons Kits .....NFF lied Over Availability of Kits By Admin Super Falcons desire to defend the title they won in Cameroon in 2016 may hit the rocks if nothing fast is done to settle a N9 million debt hanging on the neck of the Nigeria football federation (NFF). BSN Sports can reveal that the agent in charge of clearing the consignment for the NFF at the port, is being owed (N9) nine million naira and has refused to release the kits for the championship. This is coming less than 24 hours after this same BSN Sports revealed that the NFF is owing the team’s chief coach, Thomas Dennerby his nine months salaries. BSN Sports had reported that the ladies had departed for their camping site in Abidjan from the Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Lagos on Tuesday morning in mufti because there were no kits. Owing to the shabby treatment, the girls were poised for a showdown before departing and later calmed down when they were told that the kits had been transported to Abidjan. Unfortunately the girls arrived their Sol Beni training camp only to discover that the NFF lied to them. “This is the dilemma that we have found ourselves. The kits are at the port as l speak to you and if nothing is done before the girls travel to Ghana next week it will become a national embarrassment,” an NFF official told sportinglife.ng. Nigeria will begin camp against South Africa on November 18 in Cape Coast.
