Awoniyi Tastes Action As Arokodare Debuts In Koln Defeat

Actions continue in the German Bundesliga on Saturday as Nigeria internationals, Tolu Arokodare and Taiwo Awoniyi made debut for their respective clubs, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Arokodare joined FC Koln this summer from Latvian top division side, Valmiera FC, while Awoniyi moved to Union Berlin on loan from English Premier League champions, Liverpool.

Koln lost 1-0 Arminia Belefield with Edmundson scoring in the 78th minutes to decide the game.

Arokodare was introduced in the 75th minute for Duda and he was able to distinguish himself in the encounter.

Union Berlin played away to Borrusia Mochengladbach and it ended in a 1-1 draw.

Awoniyi replaced Kruse in the 57th minute and his introduction quickly count as his moved led to an equalizer in the 80th minutes from Scholotterberg.

Awoniyi is not new to Bundesliga as he spent last season with Mainz 05.
