Ayobami Junior: "We Owe Shooting Stars Nothing" - Kano Pillars

Ahead of the new Nigeria Professional Football League season, Kano Pillars FC have stated that they are not owing Nigeria National League side Shooting Stars anything concerning one of their player Ayobami Junior who is presently in the Kano Pillars' camp, BSNSports.com.ng reports

The debate erupted few days back after the news broke that Ayobami has decided to pitch his tent with the former league champion.

The media officer of the club, Idris Malikawa confirmed to BSN Sports that though they contacted the shooting stars for the signature of the player but the Oluyole Warriors demand on the player was too high and Kano Pillars withdrew their request.

"We tried to get the player from Shooting Stars from the beginning, we opened a discussion with them and we even send them a letter, they demanded higher for the player and we withdrew our request." Malikawa told BSN Sports

"Later the midfielder came to us and said he doesn't have a contract with Shooting Stars and came with documents with him, and he told us that his contract expired at the end of the season of 2019/2020."

"If they have any complain, they should call the boy and not Kano Pillars because as early as possible we write to them but they come with high demand and request which is beyond our expectations.

"We are waiting for the technical crew to determine which of the competition they will register him for as Pillars will also be playing in the CAF Confederation Cup.

"When LMC is about to commence registration for the season, then we will come with the final lists of players.

"We owed 3SC nothing because the players came to us with documents showing that he is a free agent player, that his contract expired in 2019/2020 season," he said." He concluded.
