NPFL: Egwuekwe returns to Nigeria

BSN Sports can report that Nigeria's Super Eagles defender Azubuike Egwuekwe has made a sensational return to the Nigeria Professional League with Rivers United.

The lanky defender left the shore of the country after helping Nigeria's Super Eagles to 2013 African Cup of Nations in South Africa under late coach Stephen Keshi.

Since leaving Nigeria, he has played in Finland and also in the Absa Premier League in South Africa with Supersports United.

Before leaving Nigeria, Egwuekwe has played for Nasarawa United, Yerima strikers and Warri Wolves.

He played 35 matches for Nigeria and scored 2 goals.
