Chinese National Team Coach Arrives Next Year...... Francis Obih By Niyi Busari President Badminton Federation of Nigeria (BFN) Francis Obih has said that the national team coach from China will resume his official duty in 2019, BSN Sports reports. Obih said that China is the number badminton country in the world which is one of the reasons the federation agreed to hire him as the national team coach. The Chinese coach whose name is yet to be unveiled by the Federation had worked with the national team during the world badminton championship in China. "Chinese coach and his assistant will resume duty next year as we are determined to improve the quality of Nigeria national team. We all know that China is the best country in badminton, so if we aspire to be the best, we must go for the best." He also revealed to BSN Sports that Badminton Federation will not be responsible for the salaries and allowances of the coach and his assistant as Chinese Badminton Federation will shoulder the responsibilities. "One good thing is that the federation will not be responsible for the payment of salaries and allowances of the coach as well as his assistant. It is sponsored by Chinese Badminton Association. Reacting to when badminton national league will start across the nation, Obih said the league will kick off next year as the board are working tirelessly on making sure it commences next year. "We are trying on starting the badminton league next year, it is in pipeline and probably may kick off next year.
