New Coach, Bala Nkiyu has set a personal target of qualifying Nasarawa United back to the continent as he sets to resume work against Abia Warriors in Lafia.

The widely traveled coach in a chat with www.bsnsports.com.ng correspondence disclosed that though he is not under any form of pressure to perform, as an individual he has his personal targets as regards to his role with Nasarawa United.

"As a coach, once you are given a job you must have your very own personal target because everyone in life loves achievements and my own personal target is at least to return Nasarawa United back to the continent next season".

On his first point of action, the coach revealed that he will only sit and watch his assistants do the job since he is only coming in a day to the opening match against Abia Warriors.

"I will sit and watch as I believe that I have capable hands in my assistants as we will work together to achieve our common goal which is to play continental football next season he concluded'.

On his part, Assistant Coach, Abubakar Arikya has thrown his full support behind the new gaffer stating that they have known each other for long and working together shouldn't be an issue.

"I'm not disappointed in anyway as I have known Coach Bala for a very long time and working with him will definitely not be a problem, he revealed'.

Chairman supporters club, Comrade Abubakar Abdulsallam has equally backed the decision of the management as he disclosed that the teeming supporters of the side will give both the management and the new head coach the necessary support to take the side to the next level.
